Forks or Spoons?

I am stuck
not the rock
not the hard place
but
wooshing
fast forward
not the tape player
not the VCR
but
tripping mums in the fall

when visions of two spoons
(and why do they call it a fork in the road, when really? what fork has two divides--isn't usually four?)
need to be considered

spoon one: master schooled who?
spoon two: Master yogi who?

so i see a bowl of ice cream instead
waiting
to unstick my momentary lapse
smoothing out the
bumpity
bumpity
car-whacked thumps
